Why Before What

I think what is most important to my clients is for them to know WHY I do what I do, not just the bulleted areas of service I practice in.

Having been through my own divorce and feeling like I was nothing more than a file number, I sought to change that. I wanted to bring back compassion and empathy for those going through not just divorce but child custody as well. It is our job not just to be your attorney but also your therapist, your life coach, your supporter, your financial planner, and your voice of reason. I wanted to make sure that people did not go through what I did, an impersonal experience. Every time I called “my” lawyer, I dealt with a different attorney who had no idea what my concerns were or why.

Practice Summary

I am the founding attorney of Hoffman Family Law. My practice is propelled by my dedication and passion for alleviating the tension and anxiety commonly experienced when seeking a divorce, and helping clients navigate the complexities of the judiciary and the legal system in New Jersey. I am proud of the fact that I have collaborated with clients to achieve successful results in all aspects of family law matters including divorce, custody, parenting time, equitable distribution, child support, antenuptial agreements, and domestic violence.

I also offer my clients the benefit of the knowledge and skill I acquired in related areas, including real estate, tax sale foreclosure, landlord tenant, and bankruptcy. These areas compliment my focus on family law since many clients also face these additional legal issues.
